“Oculus pendants originated in contrast to hyper-minimalistic styling trends in lighting. Meant to convey a sense of pod-like fleshiness when lit, the unlit state is boney and protective. The forms aim to entice curiosity while suggesting something in a private state of being. Mainly shedding up-light, the diffusers also cast a single curious ellipse from their oculus.”
Oculus pendants are slip cast translucent porcelain and their dimensions are 11″ x 8″.
